After being certified for the renewed ISO standard, the NEN 7510:2024 certificate is now also in.
At the end of last year, we received the ISO 27001 certificate for the renewed ISO standard (2022) after a tough audit. We have now also obtained the NEN certificate for the renewed standard (2024). This means we now officially comply with the current Dutch requirements around information security in healthcare.
Since we also operate in the healthcare and welfare sector, up-to-date NEN 7510 certification is very important. As you could read in our article from October last year, we already complied with the new NEN standard, but certification body Kiwa was not yet officially allowed to audit for this and therefore could not yet issue a certificate. But. now it does, so our security officer Marco Huiting could get to work on the framing.
About NEN 7510 and the new standard
NEN 7510 is a specific Dutch standard especially for the healthcare and welfare sector, because the healthcare sector is really different from other sectors and Dutch healthcare differs from that in other countries. The new NEN 7510:2024 is more in line with the international standard. There is now more emphasis on the safe handling of data throughout the healthcare chain, and organisations have to show more clearly how they assess risks and handle incidents.
Very relevant for childcare
