Managed 365 backup

With the Managed 365 backup service, IT Local provides you with a solution where we secure your data in Microsoft 365 on a daily basis so that you can fall back on it in case of emergencies.

We do the backup for the various mailboxes, SharePoint sites and OneDrives you have in your Microsoft 365 environment. By default, we store the backup data in the private cloud in IT Local's data centre.

We make sure everything works again
In the event of a disaster, we restore lost data and bring your mailboxes, SharePoint sites and OneDrives back into production. This can be done by restoring to the original locations of the data or to a new location; both within and outside your Microsoft 365 environment. Data that needs to be restored can therefore also be delivered to you on other media outside Microsoft 365. And... good to know: the recovery options within this service are fully scalable. So whether you have lost a single file or e-mail or your entire Microsoft 365 environment... we will always help you get back on your feet quickly.

Continuous monitoring and testing
Through monitoring and testing, our management team continuously ensures that the backup software and the backup process are working properly and securely.

Is such a backup service necessarily necessary?
We definitely recommend an additional backup service because:

• Making a Microsoft 365 backup is not Microsoft's responsibility, but your own. Microsoft cannot therefore be held liable for any data loss.
• With Microsoft's standard backup capabilities, you can only partially recover data via the standard retention periods, recycle bin and version control. Permanently deleted files, for example, cannot.
• Backups are mandatory if your organisation wants to achieve a certain ISO standard, such as the ISO 27001 standard for information security.
